Visit of the X-Yacht shipyard in Haderslev (Denmark)

On March 19th we had the opportunity to visit the X-Yacht Yard in Haderslev as a part of the winter program of the club.  Approximately 20 members took the opportunity to look behind the scenes of a boatyard. Thorsten (Toddi) Bastiansen led us through the company and told a lot about the history of the shipyard and the individual construction stages of a yacht. Here you could see clearly, that Toddi is a “X-Yachter” with body and soul . He claimed that he does have an X-Yacht gene. At this point a big compliment for the great guide and thank you for allowing us to visit the yard. Also a thanks to Torsten J. Voss, who organized the visit. 

The tour began in the showroom of the yard	With great interest, we followed the presentation by Toddi.
Here you can see the hall in which the hulls are completed.	A hull at an early stage of construction.
The decks are equipped as far as possible, before it is then placed on the hull.	Also inside the deck is pre-assembled - this saves the boat builders for a lot of work afterwards.
